delicious roasted jalapeno popper recipe

I looove jalapeno poppers, however the past year or so I’ve stopped enjoying deep fried foods (minus a certain restaurants mushrooms, mmmm), which lead to needing to find something else.  I had seen a recipe a while ago about roasted jalapenos, but it was full of stuff I didn’t particularly care for outside of the idea of jalapeno poppers, so I decided to take the idea of roasting, and adapt to ingredients I actually like.   Ingredients: 10 jalapenos; halved & seeded 1 c. sharp cheddar, shredded 4 oz. feta cheese 1 pkg. (8 0z) cream cheese 1 garlic clove, minced 3 dill springs, minced 3Read More →

ground venison or venison burger dirty rice

I love venison, however I’m often at a loss of what to make with venison burger outside of well, burgers. A while ago though, I found a recipe for venison dirty rice, which sounded great, but there were some things I didn’t like/want like poblano and green peppers, plus I wanted to add more seasonings and polish sausage. So, here’s an updated version more to my liking! Ingredients: 1 1/2 lb. ground venison 1/2 lb. polish sausage, cooked 3 stalks celery, diced 1 med. onion, diced 2 jalapenos, diced 3 dashes of Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp. garlic, minced 1/2 tbsp.. cajun seasoning, heaping (more orRead More →

Doesn’t that sound wonderful? Delicious, easy, oh! did I mention it’s also pretty healthy? It’s like a triple hit of awesome – AND it’s super refreshing on a summer day PLUS! It’s the perfect summer salad that pairs great with almost everything (especially grilled/cook out food mmmm….) Can you tell this is my favorite salad? Ingredients: 5 c. romaine lettuce & spinach combination (or whatever leafy greens you desire. Kale is also a good one!) 1 – 2 med. apples ( I prefer jazz or honeycrisp) 1 cucumber 2 avocados, sliced 1/2 c. crushed walnuts (or like 3/4 because I have no self control) 1/4Read More →

deviled easter eggs or pastel deviled eggs

These deviled eggs are a lot of fun to make, and of course they’re festive for Easter or kicking off the spring season. You can also make them for other events/holidays as well, just adjust colors accordingly (blue for boys baby showers, red and green for Christmas, etc.)  You’ll Need:  hard boiled eggs, halved w/ yolk removed (and saved to the side) food coloring (use liquid, not gel! The gel doesn’t work, promise!) vinegar warm water (not hot, about room temperature) Directions:  Well – I can’t quite tell you how to make the deviled eggs, I all but swore upon a death bed for the recipeRead More →

What You’ll Need frosted cupcakes 1 bag of mini-marshmallows scissors colored sugar sprinkles sandwich baggie & patience! Instructions ¬†Fill first baggie with desired colored sugar sprinkles. Cut mini-marshmallows in half diagonally and place into bag. [you can also cut them into thirds, that is how I did the ones above, but it’s much less frustrating to do halves.] Shake the baggie until the sticky marshmallow side[s] are covered in the sugar. Carefully [I suggest starting from the inside] place marshmallows in a circle ‘spiralling’ outwards. NOTE: if you do multi-colored [like pictured], I suggest doing a large amount of petals [marshmallows] before hand so youRead More →
